Roosevelt Way is located below Buena Vista Park, between the Haight and Castro neighborhoods. Across from Corona Heights dog park, the huge picture windows overlook the park, where you can sometimes see the red tailed hawks nesting. Of course, housebroken pets are welcome.
The backyard has lemon, apple, cherries and lime trees, and seasonal vegetables in our organic garden. (Sorry, no pets are allowed in the backyard due to the garden.) The wild parrots and hummingbirds can sometimes be seen flying around back there, too.
Our house is a little like Tales of the City: our downstairs neighbor has lived there for over 50 years! You sort of adopt him when you move in. We share the costs of internet and the cable tv. The neighbors are great. Some have been around since grade school, having grown up on the street, and others are new to the neighborhood (and are a bit younger than the old timers.)
The flat is located up the hill; the 37 Corbett outbound takes you up 14th from the Safeway at Market St., or inbound takes you up from Haight/Cole. You can also get up the hill on the 33 Stanyan from the Castro, and walk down Roosevelt from 17th and Clayton. There's also plenty of free off-street parking at the Randall Children's Museum up the block.
All units have built in washer gas dryers in the kitchen. Bathroom slate floors are heated with thermostat control. Refinished, hardwood floors throughout.

New, double-paned, UV protected windows throughout flat. Quiet and warm! Gas fireplace in living room. Lots of closets/storage.
